Shopping:
Shoppers will enjoy Early’s mall which includes JCPenney, Sedona Breeze, Rue 21, Peddlers, GNC and other small stores. Chick-fil-a, Corn Dog 7 and Moon Zen Chinese are fast food places in the mall for hungry shoppers. Early also has other boutique shops outside of the mall, salons, a local pharmacy, grill and a good ole malt and gift shop.

Eating:
Restaurant row is the spot to find just what you’re craving. Starting at the Pecan Bayou city limits is Humphrey Pete’s country style cooking, China King, Chicken Express, Prima Pasta Italian, Happy China, Jerry’s Burgers & Shakes which was written about in Texas Coop Magazine, Mi Familia Mexican Food and a Sonic Drive-In.

Education:
Early ISD  has a strong scholastic program which is rated highly scholastically and an excellent athletic program. The girls softball team has been in top 10 of 2A all season long and a new football field and new buildings were built at a multi-million expense build out.
Those interested in furthering their education can check out the Ranger Jr. College (www.rangercollege.tx.edu) in Early which has basic courses as well as an advanced RN program and cosmetology.  

The Paradigm Accelerated Charter School main campus in Early educates students, 7-12, using methods specifically aimed at reaching youth not comfortable with the normal school system and those with no fathers involved in their lives.

Events:
Several huge events help fill up the Early calendar each year. In June, fans of hot rods can see over 350 souped up cars at Riverside Park at the Pecan Bayou. Food, games and several contests abound at the car show and present onlookers with a great opportunity for family fun. Early is also proud to host the annual “Spring Swing” golf tournament at the beautiful Feather Bay GC, May 21st & 22nd.. T

Health:
Retirees will be able to conveniently find access to facilities for their health needs with one complete health clinic, two chiropractors, audiologists, sports therapists and massage therapists all within the city limits

RV parks:
There are 3 RV parks in Early with shade trees aplenty and hook-ups provided at each.

Lake Brownwood:
Early residents can enjoy swimming, fishing and camping only 12 miles from town at Lake Brownwood State park. Brown County is the home office of the Texas 4-H Conference Center which is located at Lake Brownwood.
